Dear fellow citizens!
I send my greetings to you on the occasion of the Day of Unity and Freedom of Ukraine!
This date is remarkable for a lot of generations of Ukrainians, who for centuries dreamed of uniting all native Ukrainian lands, part of which was seized by other countries.
It is gratifying that historically significant event of unity, reunion and indivisibility of Ukrainian land occurred on January 22, 1919.
Since that time, we traditionally celebrate this memorable event annually, and after Ukraine became independent, we commemorate it at the state level.
Unity is one of the most devoted wishes of many generations of Ukrainians, irrespective of nationality.
On this day we bow low before the blessed memory of fallen patriots, who for centuries strove for unification of all territories of Ukraine into a single independent State.
Our contemporaries are lucky to have such a State. So, let us do our best for its strengthening and development.
I am convinced that only in unity we can build economically and spiritually strong and sovereign democratic Ukraine. This is our common purpose and responsibility.
I wish you all sound health, personal happiness, wisdom, peace and success in everything.
